Do you love caring for pets and their people? Are you a nurturer? Do you enjoy providing "over the top" customer service? Are you super organized and responsible? Do you think dog walking and pet sitting would be a great way to earn some extra money? This job is perfect for stay at home parents, self-employed professionals and reliable, mature students or recent graduates.

We are interested in expanding our pack of professional pet care providers with people who meet the following criteria:

• Because we are entrusted with client's homes and pets, you must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and supply personal references.
• You must enjoy working with pets AND people since both are our clients.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) as they are required for interactions with pet parents.
• Be EXTREMELY reliable, responsible, detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills. There is no room for mistakes when caring for client's pets and homes. We must always show up when expected. We must always care for our client's pets and homes carefully and properly.
• Be willing and able to become certified by the American Red Cross in Pet CPR and First Aid shortly after hire.
• Be responsible, detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills.
• Be a flexible person willing to work in a job that changes on a daily basis
• Must be physically capable of walking a variety of sizes and breeds of dogs and have the ability to walk more then one dog at a time. We do not do group dog walks, but sometimes we do walk more then one dog from the same “family” together.
• Willingness and ability to walk outside in all kinds of weather.
• Willingness and ability to clean up after pets. This includes accidents, illness and an amazing variety of things they can manage to get into. We ALWAYS clean up after dogs during dog walks.
• You must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Have daily email access and a cell phone with text capability. An unlimited texting plan is highly recommended. We do most of our communications via text messaging.
• Ability to make at least a six month commitment to working with River City Rover llc. Ability to commit to the schedule of the position you are applying for. Again, we understand that circumstances can change, but we are looking for someone who has intentions of staying with a regular schedule on an ongoing basis. If you are a student and you know your schedule is going to change every semester then you are not a good fit for us.
• You live in our service area. If you live elsewhere, it won't be worth the commute to the office to pick up supplies, paperwork, etc.

We are currently hiring for the following two positions:

MID-DAY DOG WALKERS
Please note, depending on your availability, your schedule may start out very part time with only 4 - 8 walks per week until business increases to fill your availability.

You must be reliably and consistently available between the mid-day hours of 10 am through 4 pm on weekdays. This can be Monday through Friday or some other combination of days. Let know what days you are consistently available and we'll see if that works with our current needs.

MORNING and EVENING, WEEKEND and HOLIDAY VACATION PET SITTERS FOR CATS AND DOGS
You must be very consistently and reliably available some combination of the following hours:
Weekday Mornings (6 am - 10 am)
Weekday Evenings (4 pm - 6 pm)
Weekday Nights (6 pm - 8:30 pm)

Weekends - 6 am through 8:30 pm

Holidays - 6 am through 8:30 pm
