Initial Consultations

FREE (30-45 minutes)

Please schedule this at least 48 hours prior to our first service.

At this initial consult, we get to know you and your pets and you get to know us. We will explain our services, complete paperwork, answer questions, pick up keys, and discuss detailed instructions on how to care for your pets.

If you want us to keep a copy of your house key for future service, please have 2 copies of your house key ready for us and give them both a try to make sure they work properly.

All visits can be customized to best meet the needs of your dogs.

Exercise and Potty Break Visits

Mid-day visits are available Monday - Friday 10 am -4 pm

Rovers of all ages benefit greatly from regular exercise and play and consistent potty breaks.

  • Puppies in training (crate and housebreaking) need consistent breaks to help their training be successful.
  • Healthy adult dogs need regular exercise and play to be happy and healthy. Mid-day breaks are a must for crated dogs.
  • As Rovers get older they often need more potty breaks then they did in their earlier years.
  • We customize our visits to best meet YOUR dog's mid-day needs.

As busy dog owners ourselves, we have experienced guilt and frustration when we have been unable to meet our dog’s comfort and exercise needs. Let us help and you can come home to a comfortable and happy dog. (Ah, bliss!)

Exercise and Potty Break Visits - Approximately 30 minutes - $16.99
River City Rover will walk two dogs for the price of one if the dogs are easy to control and walk together. If the dogs are difficult to handle together or you have more then two dogs, River City Rover will charge $5 for each additional dog. This fee covers the extra time for walking the dogs separately or for scheduling an extra walker to come along on the visit.

Exercise and Potty Break Visits are approximately 30 minutes and include:

  • A neighborhood walk or backyard potty break and play.
  • Fresh water, treats (with your permission) and medication (if required).
  • Tons of TLC to include hugs, tummy rubs, back scratches and conversation. Sometimes there is even singing and dancing. : )
  • Written Rover Report with details of our visit.

Also included:

  • Bring in mail, newspapers and packages
  • Quick Home Check - if we notice anything unusual at your home, we will contact you and let you know.

Pet Sitting/Vacation Visits

Pet Sitting / Vacation Visits are for pet owners who must be away from home and need professional, reliable, loving pet care in their own homes.

  • River City Rover goes to your home to provide companionship, affection, exercise and care to your pets.
  • We also keep an eye on your home and give it that "lived-in" look while you are gone. We customize our visits to best meet YOU and YOUR pet's needs.

Pet Sitting / Vacation Visits - Approximately 30 minutes - $18.99
For vacation visits we charge by time, not by additional pets. For visits that will consistently take over 40 minutes time can be added at a rate of $4 for 10 min increments.

Pet sitting visits are scheduled from 6 am - 8 pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Pet sitting visits are approximately 30 minutes and include:

  • Exercise and playtime
  • Feeding, fresh water, treats (with your permission) and medication (if needed).
  • Litter box cleaning
  • Tons of TLC to include hugs, tummy rubs, back scratches and conversation. Sometimes there is even singing and dancing. : )
  • Written Rover Report with details of our visit with your pets.

Visits can also include:

  • Bring in mail, newspapers and packages
  • Take out trash and recycling and bring containers back in
  • Rotate lights and open and close blinds
  • Water plants
  • Run water and flush toilets
  • Move cars for street cleaning
  • Security & Home Check - if we notice anything unusual at your home, we will contact you to discuss.
  • Other house sitting tasks as requested.

Pet Taxi Service
(Rover Chauffeur)

Have you noticed how busy our pet’s lives have become? They have vet appointments, grooming appointments, kennel visits, play dates, parties and doggie day care to attend. Let us chauffeur your pet safely and comfortably in our Mini Cooper Clubman. For uneasy travelers we can gently scent their surroundings with soothing aromatherapy and play calming music composed specifically for pets.

Yes, we’ll try anything to create a comfortable traveling experience for your pet.

One Way ($16)
(up to 20 min of travel time included)

$16 per 1/2 hr
(if waiting with your pet is requested)

Pricing includes 2 pets from the same home (dogs and/or cats). Extra $2 charge for each additional pet.

Round Trip ($25)
Round trip must be continuous, otherwise one way rates will apply.
